“The Cookie paragraph”
The storage of information in the user’s communication equipment, or access to such, is not permitted without the user being informed of the information being processed, the purpose of the processing, who processes the information and has agreed to this. The first sentence does not prevent technical storage of or access to information:
- exclusively for the purpose of transmitting communication in an electronic communications network
- which is required to provide an information society service according to the user’s explicit request
The electronic communication act (Ekomloven) § 2-7b shall ensure users’ privacy. The provision is primarily aimed at techniques that threaten privacy, not as an obstacle to using legitimate techniques.
Google’s Google Analytics Guidelines do not collect personal information about you. The data collected is stored on Google’s servers.
